Much like G250 steel, this mild steel is easily weldable and prone to rusting if left unpainted or untreated, yet it’s incredibly durable, offers good form ability, and provides enough give in its composition to avoid breaking or cracking in extreme conditions. G350 steel contains less than 0.2 per cent carbon (as do all ‘mild steels’), comes in thicknesses ranging from 5-300mm, and is most commonly used for the likes of general metal fabrication, high rise buildings, bridges, and storage tanks, among other applications.
At Australian Steel, we offer G350 steel that’s compliant with Australian Standard 3678, which regulates the material and welding standards of structural steel, hot-rolled plates, floor plates and slabs. If you’re looking for G350 steel or an AS36798 grade 350 equivalent for your next project, you’ll find it at Australian Steel.
For over 35 years, Australian Steel has been providing customers in the construction, industrial and manufacturing sectors with quality G350 steel or an AS3679 grade 350 equivalent for a wide range of uses. With over 3,000 tonnes of steel in stock, we’re sure to have the quantity you require for your project, no matter how large or small its scale may be.
We’re also open to the general public, offering a wealth of services from oxy cutting through to ink jet marking and much more. Australian Steel services not just Victoria but right across Australia, so when you’re looking for G350 steel or its AS3679 grade 350 equivalent, call us on (03) 9580 2200 or email steel@australiansteel.com.au.
